Lindsey & Seth planned their wedding in Cortona, Tuscany from the USA and she said: “embrace the imperfections of the day and focus on what is most important; your love story. Life is going to be imperfect and messy but you now have this amazing person to share the ride with you. Focus on your connection, your family, your future. Everything else will fall into place.”
Many brides are pretty surprised at the costs of having a wedding abroad. I did a very small survey and, of course it’s based on where you’re choosing to held it or maybe it's just the typical cost. So I thought it would be helpful to past here few interesting feedback I had, from other brides having their wedding abroad, in particular destination wedding to Italy or to the south of Europe.
It’s to check what other couples have or are looking to spend; and maybe if you could let me know how many people, where and if you had any big extras, this post will help others too?
The city of Rome and the surrounding area is the one I did work the most, hence I’ve plenty of suggestions and recommendations. People come from all over the world to be married in Rome. With thousands of churches, hundreds of villas, thousands of square meters of gardens, thousands of restaurants and hundreds of wedding planners, floral designers and make-up artists etc. Rome may be the best choice to fulfill every taste! It just depends on the style and mood you’d like to have for your wedding.

These days, especially in our wedding business forums, many colleagues discusses much about wedding planners. Many brides had had bad experiences, as they had a WP without a good level of her skills, not well organised, not serious enough, without VAT system, without knowledge of suppliers and roles, and so on…
It may happens that you prefer not to cooperate with the category at all, because someone has made trouble at the first opportunity… It is sad to see growing mistrust and discontent for that category, and even worse not see take serious this profession, so useful for couples as for vendors and suppliers.
From my personal experience, I can confirm that despite it’s a good practice to “select” who you’ll work with, my desire to work with WP does not decrease, but rather strengthens.
One of the most exclusive wedding in Italy that I’ve done as a film wedding photographer, is the one of Giulia and Pietro at Palazzo Albergati in Bologna. When they told me they’ll have more than 900 gusts, I was seriously wondering where will they be able to held the reception! As the most luxury weddings I’ve done, were hosting a maximum of 500 guests.
I’m very happy to show the pictures of these two amazing guys and I’m using this opportunity to write about something you need to know if you’re planning your destination wedding abroad (in Italy in particular) so how does one get their wedding dress to another country?
Help me please, I’m photographing my first wedding. A few tips to shoot your very first wedding as a photographer.
A huge amount of the weddings held in Italy, happen in a church, and because of that and also because we're a traditional and Catholic country, most of the time the song to walk down the aisle is the Canon in D and for the first dance, during the last few years, the absence of a real, single, very popular song, led the couples to choose with their own head and based on their love, experiences, and mood! That’s happening with dance playlists and romantic first dance moments, as people aren’t asking the usual “ALL OF ME”, “SKY FULL OF STARS” or “DESPACITO”!
Congratulations! You’re the best man! It's time now to write your speech. A small percentage of people love it but the huge percentage of the people, are not used to, that’s why I’m writing you few hints about it.
