Como lake Lebanese wedding Villa d'Este / by Giuliano Bausano

Nothing would explain it better than this letter, written by the groom:

Earlier this year, we have signed a contract with the esteemed Lido Di Bellagio and Wedding Planner Ghada Blanco. and scheduled our pre-wedding and wedding ceremonies respectively on 06-09-2016 and 07-09-2016.

Mrs. Ghada Blanco was the one to convince me and my fiancée, now my wife, to go for a destination wedding. She previously visited the locations, and fell in love with. Although I trusted Mrs. Blanco blindly, I honestly couldn’t help it but to have my fears. Are we doing the right choice? We are scheduling our pre-wedding and wedding ceremonies in venues we haven’t even visited! What if the venues aren’t as beautiful as the photos look like? What if? What if?

After sending a “Save the Date” to our invitees, we had a series of unpleasant incidents and fears in my back head started to grow even further. However, there is no turning back at this point. “Alea iacta est” as they say. Yet, I wanted to meet the persons we are going to be dealing with. I want to get to know them personally. I don’t want any ambiguity anymore!

And then, we met all of you.

With your welcoming attitude, with your transparency, with your professionalism, you quickly eliminated all my fears and replaced them with enthusiasm: we couldn’t wait for 06-09-2016 and 07-09-2016 to come.  After we met you, I haven’t even gotten back to read any single contract we have previously signed. We weren’t dealing with third parties anymore. We were dealing with a group of friends who truly wanted our pre-wedding and wedding to be as successful as possible.

06-09-2016: By boat, our invitees discovered the beauty of Lake Como. Arriving to Lido Di Bellagio, they fell in love with the premises. The pre-wedding ceremony was amazing. Everyone was euphoric. Yet, they had one question: if this is the pre-wedding? What will you guys keep for tomorrow?!

The big day came. We arrived to Villa Pizzo by boat. The English language hasn’t invented an adjective to describe what we saw. It wasn’t perfect. It was miles beyond perfection. Attention to details. Everything was flawless.

The invitees started to come. The venue. The flowers. The furniture and decorations. The reception. The amazing band. The talented photographers who captured every single moment of our fairy tale. The dinner. The atmosphere. The beautiful Amelia and her team who dealt with this wedding with love and maximal professionalism. Everything was perfect. After attending tens of clichés weddings in Beirut, all our invitees were amazed by our wedding. “This is the best wedding we have ever been to” was the least comment we have heard.

Finally, to the noblest person I have ever met, Ghada Blanco. I don’t think words can express what you mean to us. Yet, I will try to express that in a separate letter.

Thanks to you guys and your esteemed teams, our big day was way beyond perfection. And for that, you have my wife and my utmost gratitude.
